Join us and take part in the opening parade of the Christmas Market. The Fairytale Parade will set off from the Great Armory of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts on Tkacka Street, go through the Golden Gate , and then through Targ Węglowy will reach the stage where the Opening Ceremony will begin. You will see a nutcracker playing drums, elves, snowflakes, a golden Mirror Man figure, dancing baubles, candy stilt walkers and a giant bell on stilts.

During the meeting:
You will learn what an amazing role bees play in nature and how beeswax is produced - from the hive to our hands.
You will create a fragrant, natural beeswax candle yourself that will add magic to your holidays.
You will immerse yourself in a warm, festive atmosphere - with delicate candlelight, the aroma of wax and unique stories straight from the apiary.
It is a moment of relaxation, fun and learning that both children and adults will remember. Join us and feel the Christmas magic created with your own hands!

At the Christmas Market in Gdańsk, the Snow Queen and Santa Claus will visit us in two versions - this time they will visit northern and southern Poland, bringing Christmas atmosphere and joy for two days full of magical attractions.

Santa Claus will come from the north of Poland, i.e. from Pomerania, to introduce participants to regional traditions and games. Guests will have the opportunity to:

- Take part in a Christmas quiz about Pomerania - a knowledge competition about the traditions and curiosities of the region, in which participants can win Pomeranian gifts.
- Build your own lighthouse - an ecological competition where children and families will create lanterns from cardboard and paper.
- Learn Kashubian dance - "Dzëk" dance lessons, which have survived centuries and are a symbol of Pomeranian folklore.
- Snow dances and bubble show
- Piñata full of surprises
- Twisting balloons.

Traditionally, Trefliks will visit us at the Fair. This year they will appear again with a special guest, Jarosław Boberek , who will tell us what the work of a dubbing actor is like and will also read fragments of treflic stories.

Unique concerts will be played on Gdańsk towers. We will be able to hear the cooperation of the carillon and wind instruments and the continuation of a centuries-old tradition. The GRAND Prix of the Christmas Market is a prestigious competition for all exhibitors. Its aim is to consistently improve the quality of the presented offers and promote the best exhibitors. The winners receive statuettes and vouchers to purchase a stand at next year's event. The competition jury selects winners in two categories: Good Idea - for the best handicrafts and craftsmen and Dobry Smakołyk - for exhibitors with a food offer.
This year, the Good Taste category has been refreshed, which will allow you to appreciate gastronomic exhibitors as part of the gastronomic competition.

Exhibitors presented dishes that were assessed by professional chefs, including:
Olga Borkowska - Masło Maślane, Michał Stężalski - Tygle.
The competition took place on November 27 from 12.00 to 14.30.

Today is a day of celebration! On this occasion, the DownTown Brass Band from Gdańsk will perform on our fair stage, a project inspired by the activities of street bands that were formed in the first quarter of the last century in New Orleans, but also by the works of contemporary brass bands operating in various corners of the world.
The band was founded in 2019 by young musicians who were then studying at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
They will present us Christmas songs, but not only.

It's time to celebrate. That evening, new sculptures will be placed on the tower, which, enlivened by the voice of contemporary Angels with the beauty of art, tenderness and madness of dance, will complement the dialogue of the Word and vocals. "Historie wylatane" invites the viewer on a journey - from the superficiality and unleavenness of Christmas, through the harsh truth, to an intimate meeting with Love and another person. The breath in the air scented with oranges and cinnamon creates space for reflection.
The show is a theater of extreme aerial acrobatics combined with dance theater, acting and a circus performed on the facade of the Prison Tower.

Art is addressed to everyone regardless of faith, origin or age.

December 13 is the shortest day of the year and then Sweden celebrates the Festival of Light, the patron saint of which is Saint Lucy. On this day, picturesque processions of girls dressed in white and wearing crowns of burning candles take place throughout the country.

Apparently every Swedish girl dreams of playing the role of Saint at least once. Lucia and lead the Christmas procession; In some towns, Lucia elections are even organized.

On December 4, we will be visited by the Procession of St. Łucja, who will sing Swedish Christmas carols for us. Their visits are a tradition that dates back to 1991. The girls will start their march from the Angel's Corner in the Przedbramia Complex, and the finale will take place on the Stage in Santa's Corner.

It has become a Gdańsk tradition that on December 5, Santa Claus arrives on the waters of the Motława River. On a December evening on Długie Pobrzeże, both children and adults in Gdańsk look for him, because with Santa Claus, everyone, regardless of age, wants to find the child in themselves at least for a moment and feel the magic of the upcoming Christmas. Santa is accompanied by elves, snowflakes and postmasters of his post office who collect letters from those children who have not yet had time to write to him about their Santa gift dreams. On this special day, even the Mayor of Gdańsk, who solemnly welcomes Santa Claus, changes from the serious Aleksandra into Ola and helps Santa light up the Gdańsk Christmas tree.

The artistic setting of this event is provided by the GAK Theater .

They will accompany us on the fair stage while reading aloud together in dogs. You will be invited to read by the poet Jakub Kornhauser, who came from Krakow for this occasion, and Marta Pilarska, a bookseller and reader promoter from the Marpress Bookstore in Gdańsk. We will start by reading the book "Lata z dachmnik" by our guest from Krakow, and then we will read poems and fragments of other works by writers, including: "How to Talk to a Dog" by Jan Brzechwa, "Petting a Dog" by Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska or "Psy" by Julian Tuwim. Each and every one of you who decides to read the dog song on stage will receive a book of your choice from us and will be able to count on a dogfight with Santa's golden helpers.

Participants take an oath, learn a 500-year-old recipe and prepare gingerbread themselves in traditional wooden molds. Baked gingerbreads and those decorated with icing become a souvenir.

The meeting is held in the spirit of old Polish tradition, using stylized language and costumes from the 16th century. The workshops are unforgettable fun with the smell of Christmas, lasting about 45 minutes. Participants also receive the oldest Polish recipe for gingerbread.

5/6 (five sixths) is an a cappella vocal group, often referred to as the "Polish Pentatonix".
Using the vocal play technique, singers perform their own arrangements of popular music hits and original songs. The band consists of: Justa Czarnota, Madzia Karmiłowicz, Renata Tuszyńska, Paweł Orłowski, Wiktor Gabor, Jan "Elf" Czerwiński.

The beginning of the band's activity is related to the stage of the Academy of Music. Stanisław Moniuszko in Gdańsk, where the singers studied together. In 2020
, the group released their debut music album "Nielepsza", promoted by the single "Nada Nada".
The 5/6 band has won many awards, including: 1st place at the 8th International Choir Festival and Competition "Canco Mediterrania" in Bacelona/Lloret de Mar 2018, 1st place in the "Pop and Jazz" category at the 7th International Choral Festival "Per Musicam Ad Astra" in Toruń 2019, special award of Radio Gdańsk SA at Ladies' Jazz Festival 2019, Grand Prix V National Festival of Contemporary Choral Music "Music Everywhere" Gdańsk 2019.

Every year, on the Sunday before Christmas, the Gdańsk Christmas Eve . Also this year, on December 22, in Długi Targ, in order to create a festive atmosphere, a symbolic Christmas Eve table will be set, lit by candlelight, with hay and loaves of bread. However, this symbolic Christmas Eve table will not be a place for a feast, but a meeting place to which we want to invite all Gdańsk residents, regardless of origin, religion or skin color, so that, at least for a moment, we will become one big Gdańsk Family. According to the tradition that has been cultivated in Gdańsk for years, the authorities of our city and invited representatives of Christian churches will express Christmas wishes to the inhabitants of Gdańsk and share Christmas wafers with them.
