The official opening of the Christmas Market in Gdańsk will traditionally take place on the first Saturday of the event, which falls on November 22nd. The Christmas parade is scheduled to begin at the Advent Gate, which this year is located for the first time at the intersection of Bogusławskiego and Zbytki Streets, in the new part of the fair. The parade will depart at 3:30 PM towards the stage at Targ Węglowy (Coal Market). The official opening ceremony is scheduled from 4 PM. The Opening Ceremony is one of over 100 artistic highlights that will be featured throughout the fair until December 23rd.

New products and unique spaces

This year's edition of the Gdańsk Christmas Market will once again transform the cityscape into a spectacle of holiday magic! For the first time, the fair encompasses the entire Bogusławskiego Street, which boasts a brand-new, container-style structure inspired by the Shakespeare Theatre. This is where a modern food court and atmospheric Instagram spots have been created – perfect for souvenir holiday photos with family and friends, such as the Shakespeare Gate, Romeo and Juliet's Balcony, St. Nicholas' Corner, and the Advent Gate. This is where St. Nicholas will be visiting during this edition!

After a two-year hiatus, the Fair returns to Forum Gdańsk, where visitors can expect new attractions, festive decorations, and a unique atmosphere. Traditionally, every part of the Fair exudes holiday magic – the decorations and illuminations will make a stroll through the Fair an unforgettable experience.

Christmas program

The program events begin with the Opening Ceremony. Immediately following, there will be a Winter Dance Party at Angel Corner. The next two days will be exclusively for exhibitors, with the program resuming on Tuesday, including the regular Theater Tuesdays, which will begin with a performance of "The Grinch." On Wednesday, we invite you to a Christmas fire show, and on Thursday, a workshop on wise bird feeding and a series of performances titled "Family Thursdays – The Journeys of the Snow Queen." On Friday, visitors will be greeted with Christmas carols and holiday hits in a smooth jazz atmosphere, as well as dance workshops with SoSalsa. Gastronomy – Christmas flavors from around the world

The Gdańsk Christmas Market is a true gourmet feast! Visitors can sample 22 world cuisines – from traditional Polish pierogi and aromatic mulled wine, through regional Pomeranian delicacies, to exotic Italian, Spanish, Georgian, and Asian dishes. Everyone will find something to their liking, regardless of culinary preferences.

In the modern food court on Bogusławskiego Street, you can not only warm up with a hot drink and sample festive delicacies, but also relax in specially designed relaxation areas and soak up the atmosphere of the best Christmas market in Europe. It's a perfect opportunity to discover new flavors, share them with loved ones, and experience a truly international, festive atmosphere.

Crafts and gifts – find something unique

The fair is a paradise for crafts enthusiasts and those seeking unique gifts. Among the 222 stalls, you'll find original jewelry, ceramics, Christmas decorations, natural cosmetics, wooden and textile products, candles, and a host of other offerings from local and regional artists. It's the perfect place to find unique gifts for loved ones and get into the holiday spirit.

Handcrafted items are particularly popular, often made in one-of-a-kind pieces – a guarantee that any gift from the Fair will be absolutely unique. It's also worth visiting the stands selling regional delicacies and organic products, which will be perfect for the holiday table.

Porcelain cups – a new tradition at the Fair

This year, porcelain deposit mugs are making their debut at the Fair! Not only is this an eco-friendly solution that contributes to environmental protection, but it's also a beautiful souvenir from Gdańsk. These mugs, featuring a unique holiday design, are available with the purchase of mulled wine. A 30 PLN deposit is required, which can be refunded by returning the mug to one of two special containers located throughout the Fair.

The implemented returns system is quick and convenient – no need to return to the same stand. A porcelain mug will not only make your drink taste better, but also allow you to take home a piece of the festive atmosphere and start your own collection of fair mugs – including, of course, the collector's mug, which traditionally appeared at the fair – this time in four colors! Other drinks will continue to be served in disposable cups.
