We are happy to announce that the Christmas Market in Gdańsk won the prestigious Best Christmas Markets in Europe 2025 competition! Thanks to your votes, the Fair took first place on the podium, and Gdańsk was named the best place for Christmas in Europe. This is a huge distinction that shows what a unique atmosphere we create together every year!
The Christmas Market is not only about beautiful decorations and Christmas houses or an artistic program, but above all it is about a magical atmosphere that attracts people from all over the world. Gdańsk, with its charming streets and historic center, which at this time turns into a real winter wonderland. Handicrafts, delicious food, aromatic mulled wine, and Christmas music - all this makes the Christmas Market in Gdańsk a unique experience.
We would like to thank everyone who supported us in voting in the Best Christams Markets in Europe 2025 competition. Your energy and commitment made the Christmas Market in Gdańsk number 1 in Europe! We obtained 92,283 votes, beating last year's result in Budapest by 35%. It is also the highest result in the history of the competition and the first such distinction for Gdańsk and Poland. We are glad that so many people appreciate the magic of Gdańsk and have their favorite Christmas memories there.

– We invite you to the fair until December 23. And from December 1, the entire city will turn into a real Christmas wonderland. Christmas trees will be lit in 15 districts. The main Christmas tree at Długi Targ will become the heart of the Christmas illuminations that will decorate Gdańsk - adds the mayor of Gdańsk.
